Michael Chekhov's Acting Technique®
The aim of the workshop is to record three professional videos, made in Hungarian or English, which the participant can send to the Casting Director for selections either in Europe or overseas.
We live in times when there is a lot of filming going on all over Europe. Recently, Hungary has featured prominently as a filming location.
The Michael Chekhov technique gives the actor the tools to create an engaging and authentic video for prose or singing castings.
During the 4-hour workshops, we work with a total of 2 participants: this small number not only allows each person to receive more attention, but also to have a ready-made video that can be sent anywhere 1 week after the workshop.
Cutting, editing and finalizing the video is included in the workshop fee. The final material becomes the property of the participant. (We do not hand over raw video material!)
During the 4-hour workshop:
- 3 x 1-minute videos are made:
- introduction video (about me)
- delivered modern or classic monologue / song / own text (performing / bests of you)
- dialogue video (The dialogue will be recorded with the performances of the two participants. This will be the video on which the actors' acting becomes "visible".)
- Participants learn about the "instant" application possibilities of acting and presence through the imagination and atmosphere-creating tools of the Mikhail Chekhov technique.
- Participants will receive tips for making Self-tape videos
x - In the case of the introduction (about me) and the own material (performing / best fo you), there is no language restriction - in the case of the dialogue, we can work with the participants in Hungarian, English and German.
